An independent distributor built around one job: keeping production running.
Manufacturers lose weeks to a single part on allocation. Halden exists to close that gap — sourcing through a qualified global supplier network, inspecting everything that comes through our door, and giving a straight answer on availability rather than an optimistic one.
We work with buyers who need one line covered urgently and with supply chain teams who want a second source standing behind a scheduled build. Both get the same response time and the same quality process.

Incoming inspection process

Documentation review
Packing list checked against the purchase order: part number, quantity, manufacturer, date code, country of origin, and certificate of conformance where required.

Packaging & ESD verification
Original packaging condition, label integrity, moisture barrier bag seal, desiccant and humidity indicator card, reel and tape condition, MSL handling compliance.

Visual & dimensional inspection
Marking permanence and consistency, laser versus ink marking, surface and lead condition, package dimensions against the manufacturer datasheet, and high-magnification comparison against a known-good reference where one is held.

Escalated laboratory testing
For material outside the authorised channel, or where inspection raises any question, we escalate to an independent test house. Scope is agreed per lot and may include solvent resistance, XRF, X-ray, decapsulation and electrical test.

Disposition & release
Accepted stock is booked with its source, date code and lot identity recorded. Non-conforming material is quarantined, never returned to the supply chain, and reported where required.
Our counterfeit position
Suspect counterfeit material is impounded, not returned to the seller — returning it simply puts it back into circulation for the next buyer. Where applicable we report through industry reporting schemes. That applies regardless of who supplied it or how long we have worked with them.
Supplier qualification
Every supplier is qualified before a first order and reviewed on performance afterwards. We check business registration, trading history, quality accreditations, references, and the documentation they can actually produce on request.

Suppliers & vendors
Sell to Halden
We're actively adding manufacturers, authorised distributors, trading companies and stocking houses to our quote list. No vetting fee, no exclusivity.
- Include in every quote
Manufacturer part number exactly as marked, manufacturer name, quantity available, your minimum order quantity, unit price and currency, date code or range, packaging format, lead time from PO, incoterm and shipping point, and quote validity.
- Packaging & condition
New and unused in original manufacturer packaging is preferred, with factory-sealed moisture barrier bags, intact desiccant and HIC for moisture-sensitive devices. Open reels, cut tape and re-bagged parts are quotable if declared at quote stage — undeclared repackaging ends the relationship.
- Date codes
State the actual date code you will ship. If you're quoting stock you don't yet hold, say so. We accept older date codes on most commodities when they're declared; we reject shipments where the code differs from the quote.
- Payment terms
Agreed per supplier and confirmed on the purchase order. First orders can be placed on whatever basis you're comfortable with, including payment in advance — we'd rather start small and pay early than negotiate credit before either side has a track record.
- Purchase orders
Issued in writing as a PDF carrying a Halden PO number. If you haven't received a written PO, there is no order — please don't ship against a verbal or messaging-app confirmation.
- Shipping
Consignee and forwarder details are issued with the purchase order. Mark the PO number on every carton and on the packing list.
- Fraud warning
Our bank details never change by email. If you receive a message claiming they have, it did not come from us — confirm with your usual contact before remitting or shipping anywhere.

About Halden Components
Halden Components is an independent electronic component distributor serving OEM and EMS manufacturers. We source, inspect and supply board-level components, with particular focus on shortage cover, allocated parts, and devices that have gone end-of-life.
The independent channel has a reputation problem, and in places it's a deserved one. Our answer is process: a qualified supplier base, documented inspection on every lot, and honest answers about where material came from. If we can't verify something, we say so rather than shipping it.
We're small enough that you deal with the same person each time, and quick enough to move on a shortage the day you call.
